What Our Walkers Say

Heartfelt stories from our Five Church Walk community

Always look forward to this!

It really is a tonic for the soul. No matter what the weather, the route is stunning. The mix  of woodland paths, bridleways, country lanes and farmland brings new surprises around every corner. The highlights for me are the stunning views, and the bluebells

We’ve made so many new friends along the way. The smiles, conversations and camaraderie are priceless whether you walk between all five churches or manage a few steps down the aisle to the coffee and cakes at one church.

The five churches walk has been a popular feature on our club’s programme for many years, and although longer than our usual walks is easily accomplished. The combination of some of the area’s best scenery with regular tea and cake stops (not to mention bacon baps) is irresistible and we have members travelling from afar to do the walk.

Tamsin and I greatly enjoyed this wonderful route through the countryside, quite demanding in places. It gave us great pleasure in joining so many who raised money for the churches and other charities. We congratulate the organisers and all those who volunteered at the churches serving food and hot drinks. Many thanks.
